Privacy Policy for DriveTest Login Quick Fill
Last updated: March 8, 2026
DriveTest Login Quick Fill is a Chrome extension that helps a user fill the DriveTest sign-in form at https://booking.drivetest.ca/Drivetest/signin .
The extension works only on that sign-in page. It stores the user's licence ID and licence expiry date only for the current browser session, stores the floating button position locally, and does not send this data to the developer or to third-party servers.
Data the Extension Handles
- Licence ID entered by the user in the extension popup
- Licence expiry date entered by the user in the extension popup
- User-defined floating button position
- The current active tab, only to target the user's current DriveTest sign-in page when the extension popup is used
- The licence ID and expiry input fields on the DriveTest sign-in page, only when the user asks the extension to autofill them
Permissions and Website Access
- The storage permission is used to save session-only licence data and the locally saved floating button position
- The tabs permission is used only to identify the current active tab and send the autofill command to it
- Host access is limited to https://booking.drivetest.ca/Drivetest/signin*
- The extension does not run on other websites and does not collect browsing history
How the Data Is Used
- To temporarily save the licence ID and expiry date for the current browser session
- To fill the DriveTest sign-in form when the user clicks the extension fill action or floating button
- To remember the floating button position selected by the user
- To determine whether the current page is the supported DriveTest sign-in page
How the Data Is Stored and Protected
- The licence ID and expiry date are stored in Chrome session storage and are intended to be cleared when the browser session ends
- The floating button position is stored in Chrome local storage until the user changes it or removes it
- The extension does not use remote databases, analytics services, advertising SDKs, crash reporting services, or third-party APIs to process this data
- The extension does not sync the saved licence data to the developer's servers
- The DriveTest website receives the licence data only when the user chooses to autofill the sign-in form on that site
Data Sharing
The extension does not sell user data, does not use user data for advertising, and does not transfer user data to the developer or to third parties for independent use.
When the user chooses to autofill the DriveTest sign-in page, the extension writes the licence ID and expiry date into the form fields on booking.drivetest.ca. If the user submits that form, the data is then sent to the DriveTest service under that website's own terms and privacy practices.
This extension uses user data only to provide the user-facing autofill feature described in the Chrome Web Store listing and user interface and is intended to comply with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Data Retention and User Controls
- The user can edit or clear the licence ID and expiry date in the extension popup at any time during the current browser session
- Session-stored licence data is cleared when the current browser session ends
- The floating button position remains saved until the user changes it, clears the extension storage, or uninstalls the extension
